  • Have dinner at a local restaurant like Onzieme in Kingston, where you’ll find beautiful local ingredients and great wine (including in a tiny underground wine bar).
  • Visit the National Gallery of Australia. Be sure to take a walk in the Sculpture Garden and see Lindy Lee’s Ouroboros.
  • Visit the street with a bit of everything… Lonsdale St. Braddon, for coffee, cocktails, cuisine and shopping.
  • Wake up with breakfast at Penny University in Kingston.
  • Drop into the Bentspoke Brewing Co. for a pint.
  • Buy gits at the Portrait Gallery shop.
  • Take in a sunrise view from the Arboretum.

  • Enjoy a night out at Lunetta on Red Hill, an Italian fine-dining upstairs and trattoria downstairs, in an iconic mid-century building with views over Canberra
  • Get some fresh air walking up one of the many hill bush reserves in the middle of Canberra suburbs, for example Black Mountain or Mount Ainslie.
  • Visit one of the excellent wineries around Canberra, such Collector Wines, Clonakilla or Helm Wines (where you’ll still find Ken Helm manning the cellar door).
